METU-TEKPOL aims to advance knowledge and inform policy on the dynamics of technological change and innovation. Through interdisciplinary research and graduate education in Science and Technology Policy Studies, the center develops analytical tools, empirical insights, and policy perspectives on innovation and industrial policy, digital and green transformations, technology assessment, entrepreneurship ecosystems, and the interaction between technological change, skills, and labor markets. TEKPOL’s mission is to contribute to evidence-based science, technology, and innovation policies by producing high-quality research and by training researchers and professionals capable of understanding and governing technological transformations. Through national and international collaborations, the center seeks to support sustainable economic development, strengthen technological capabilities, and prepare future experts who can work in academia, public institutions, and organizations engaged in innovation policy and technological development..
